This past Christmas is one that we will always remember. We have so much to be thankful for and count each blessing we are given. We shared Christmas Eve with the Spikes family out in Coppell where Miss Claire and Cousin Mallie enjoyed snacking on cheese and crackers, chasing each other around, dining at their very own table with snowmen placemats and nutcracker dolls, opening packages, smiling for all the cameras, and decorating cookies for Santa Claus.
Christmas Day was so special as we hurried into the living room to find a brand new red trike with a ringing bell and felt bags filled with toys and goodies. Claire was a little overwhelmed with all the packages so we took a little break from it all and just played..... Another exciting surprise was that Santa had left lots of snow on the ground where Claire and Daddy went out to build Claire's first snowman. She could have stayed out there all day!
Then, the Carthey's all arrived where we spent the remainder of the day visiting, laughing, opening packages, lounging, watching Claire entertain us all, and preparing our Christmas dinner. It could not have been more perfect and a Christmas we will always treasure.
We wish all of you a Happy New Year and lots of fun memories in 2010. Please pray for a safe arrival of Baby Cooper as he will be joining our family on January 15th.
